I much agree with the emphasis Ralf puts on the importance of awareness of context. I would go so far as to apply this notion to not only context within the domain of our planet. We finally know so much about the vast universe in which our planet is but a speck, a pale blue dot, that it makes sense to look at planet Earth in the context of the growing number of all other planets and exoplanets that we know. Within that context, our planet is, from our perspective, the most beautiful and most interesting one, the one where conditions exist that have so far not been found elsewhere, conditions that have allowed life to emerge and flourish. Let's recognize the privilege of being here. We have a home, a home worth caring for.
